It grew its brand value that dropped in 2017, to more than a value of $10 billion in 2019. Also, the statistics shows that 92 percent of the flights owned by Delta arrived on time and only 32 out of the 136 million passengers, were bumped.

American Airlines secured the second spot followed by United and Southwest airlines. These are considered as the best and strongest airlines of the United States globally.

David Haigh, CEO of  Brand Finance, said, “Chinese brands are the big winners in this area as they have been able to grow their brands by giving customers greater confidence in their dependability and safety as they grow alongside the Chinese economy.”

1. Delta : $10.11 billion

Securing the position at number 1, Delta proves to be the most valuable airline, despite its value falling by 6 percent to a sum of $9.2 billion dollar last year. This Atlanta based airline earned this position due to its perfect timings, routes and wide network, making it the most trusted one.

2. American Airlines : $9.55 billion

At the second position comes American Airlines. Despite facing a lot of disturbance and turbulence in the last year, it secured its rank and became the second best airline. This airline faced a downfall in it value by 7 percent to $9.1 billion, the last year.

3. United : $8.46 billion

This airline is known for its comfortable and luxurious in-flight service offerings. United Airlines comes with amazing features and fleets every year. It also has a good connectivity, both domestic and international. This is the reason why United stands among the best, making up to the top three.

4. Southwest : $6.60 billion

Overtaking Emirates, Southwest took it position at the fourth despite being in rumors. This is known for its higher customer satisfaction and low fares. As per the Brand Finance’s Airline 50 report of 2019, Southwest has an increase in its brand value from $5.53 billion in 2018 to $6.60 billion currently.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway is the second largest shareholder of Southwest.

5. Emirates : $6.27 billion

Holding its position at fifth is Emirates based in Dubai. This has been the favourite of all passengers around the world, covering about 150 destinations annually. The Emirates provide world class services in long haul flights. This is the reason why it has been famous in the industry for a long time.

6. China Southern : $4.46 billion

This airline is growing rapidly not just domestically, but also internationally. With a value of $4.46 billion, China Southern becomes the Chinese brand leader, ahead of China Eastern. They have expanded their connectivity to global markets with high quality of services.

7. China Eastern : $4.23 billion

Remaining at seventh position consistently, China Eastern manages to be in the list. The brand value of this airline increased from $3.8 billion in 2018 to $4.23 billion in 2019.

8. British Airways : $4.17 billion

Beating the Air China, British Airways finally manages to come under the world’s most valuable airlines o0f the year. This is the leading airline in the Europe. After dropping down two positions from sixth in 2017 to eighth in 2018, it remains stable in 2019 too.

9. Air China : $4.12 billion

Air China has retained its position again in the list and stays stable as the last year. This has been a huge success for the Chinese market, as three of its airlines secured the position again beating the rest.

10. Lufthansa : $3.15 billion

Lufthansa has been benefited from the collapse of Air Berlin which caused a huge reduction in the competition, that the airline faced in the European markets.
